I've decided to take the skills I'm currently honing at work and use them to write a series of deadpan leveled readers aimed at helping adult illiterates achieve some degree of, well, literacy. The tricky part being that the subjects of these books--rather than being: not pirates--would have to be ones that would appeal to adult illiterates.
