2002-09-19 - 11:27 p.m. -coke of death
I was having a meeting in our nice new lunchroom last week (an actual meeting: there are big tables there to spread pages out on, and lots of good lighting), and I thought I'd get a coke from the machine before we started.
When I opened it up, it started fizzing and fizzing. I would sip a little off the top, to keep it from flooding our book, and it would just fizz a little more. Finally it stopped, and the rest of the can was just heavy syrup.
I have no idea why it would separate like that. Nor do I know why I kept drinking, because my first thought was, "I bet this is poisoned. And there's probably a thumb bobbing around in it, too."
