Before we had baby rampy, we went to a bunch of birthing classes and a one-day baby care basics seminar at the hospital. Parts of the classes were spent listening to the teacher, while during other parts you just watched videos. Naturally some videos were of the birthing process, but others were more "instructional," like the SIDS video that went on and on about how you should only put your baby to sleep on her back, but never explained the particulars of how this actually might prevent SIDS. We were especially disappointed that this video was such a bust because we had voted to see it over the video on baby-shaking (assuming we could ourselves figure out intuitively the best methods of shaking our baby).

Speaking of baby-shaking, one of the sheets they gave us when we left the hospital was a bulleted list of ways not to handle your baby, one being "do not whirl your baby around in a circle by her ankles." So there go our pairs figure skating Olympic medal hopes.
