When I was at the front desk of the doctor's office for one of baby rampy's check-ups, a mother called in asking if the office had the vaccine for avian flu.
reception nurse: Just one moment, ma'am. (puts woman on hold) Hey, we don't have a vaccine for avian flu, do we?
other nurse: Uh, no. No one does. They haven't made one yet. Maybe in five years.
reception nurse That's what I thought. This lady just asked for some. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
whole reception area: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
reception nurse: (picking phone back up politely) I'm sorry, ma'am. We don't have any of that.
So I guess we'll just have to hope that avian flu doesn't hit our little suburban enclave any time soon. Because of course there was a whopping huge chance it would.
