One of our baby classes takes place in this dance studio room at the local rec center. The group leader basically dumps a bunch of toys out and the babies and toddlers play with them, and then we sit in a circle and sing songs (the mommies, that is. The babies and toddlers are all still playing with toys while we adults sit there and make eensy-weensy spider fingers at each other).

So last week some custodian cornered our group leader and told her we couldn't use scissors and crayons during our classes anymore because they had found little cuts in the floor and red marks on the wall.

She was like, "I don't think he understands just what it is that we do."
